GOING TO THE MOURNES IS GOING HOME

Wood Art, Crafted in the foothills of the Mournes

Once Upon a Dandelion are a beautiful young family business based in Newcastle County Down - quite literally where the mountains of Mourne, sweep down to the sea! (if you hear it, sing it!)

Philip & Lisa work from their home studio creating these much loved and unique pieces. Philip cuts, sands & prepares the wood that Lisa them screen prints, by hand, on too. The nature of the wood and the character bestowed by the screen printing process means that each and every piece has its own character - no two are ever the same...

Passionate about the environment, Lisa, Philip & their girls are committed to minimising their environmental footprint. Philip sources wood that is all responsibly forested & from local mills whilst Lisa uses recycled coffee cup paper for screen printing! And what's lovely is that even their home studio and workshop is powered by solar panels!

Some info about the pieces

Rectangular Wood Art Sign - about 300mm x 210mm

Square Wood Art Sign - about 300mm x 300mm

The wood will at times have knots & strong grains running through it, but it's what makes each piece unique!

All pieces have two batons on the back - this allows for really easy hanging and floats the piece beautifully on the wall - so you do not need a frame!

*the piece photographed is for display purposes - your piece will be, both the same but slightly different due to the nuances of the wood as mentioned above.
