Red Earthenware clay exudes a warmth and modesty of character that lends itself to what we as makers are trying to achieve with this body of work – simple pots, simply made, barely touched.
This piece is hand made at our studio in Belfast, where every member of our small team has a hand in the making. From our range Maps and Cracks, this pot is 1/1 and part of a body of landscape sketches looking down and in, as opposed to the ‘traditional’ landscape. Inspired by cracks, rocks, pools and notional maps off the Donegal coast these pieces are constantly growing, changing, and never to be repeated.
